Our story begins with one small request.

Did you know our family established this business in 1973 when my grandfather, Ollie McGuire, retired and relocated his family from Ohio to Alabama? To ease the uprooting, Ollie honored his daughter’s one request — to build a swimming pool at their new home.

The first Spring they were settled in, Ollie kept his promise to his daughter Diane, and thus, Russellville TV & Pools began. Ollie ran a successful TV repair and pool construction company for the next 25 years, until he and his wife Peggy decided to pursue their dream of becoming poultry farmers.

Diane and her husband, Stanley, decided to keep the business in the family and expand to what would now become Russellville Pools, Inc. The accompanying retail store also expanded and began to carry more chemicals, toys, and floats and provide service to its customers.

Sadly, Diane, also known as my mom, was diagnosed with cancer in January 2015 and passed away quickly after. Stanley, the ever-devoted husband and my dad, continued their business until he decided to retire in December 2021. It was my time to step up, to recognize the unique opportunity to continue my family’s business into a third generation. My husband, Micheal, and I decided to take over the business in 2022.

Multi-generation businesses are few and beautiful, and our family is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the North Alabama, Eastern Mississippi, and Southern Tennessee regions.

It is so important to me to honor my mom’s legacy; it was her request that started this whole journey. I truly believe she would be proud of Micheal and I for working together to continue serving our customers with the highest quality service.
